ATR

ATR is a French Manufacturer of regional turboprop airplanes. Based in Toulouse, France, ATR was established in November 1981. ATR is famous for it's two airplane designs the ATR 42 and the ATR 72, the latter being a stretched design of the former. These airplanes go head to head with the Bombardier Dash 8-Q400 while the company competes with Bombardier overall and Embraer in the regional airliner marketplace.

ATR 42-200 - Regional turboprop aircraft and original variant/prototype of the ATR42

ATR 42-300 - First variant of the ATR42, the -300 was the standard variant.

ATR 42-320 - Second variant of the ATR42 with improved engines.

ATR 42-400 - Third variant of the ATR42 with even more improved engines.

ATR 42-600 - Fifth variant of the ATR42 with general improvements including engines and modern glass cockpit.

ATR 72-100 - A stretched version of the ATR42 holding more passengers; the -100 was the first iteration.

ATR 72-210 - Third variant of the ATR72 with better engines.

ATR 72-500 - Fourth variant of the ATR72 with better engines and other improvements. 

ATR 72-600 - Fifth variant of the ATR72 with general improvements including engines and modern glass cockpit.
