Boeing 787-8

The Boeing 787-8 is the smallest variant of the the 787 family; a new airplane designed of mainly composite materials. Targeted to be a suitable replacement of the Boeing 767, this airplanes goes beyond the capabilities of the 767 with it's powerful engines and lightweight design that allow it to travel great distances very economically. This ability has allowed airlines to fly this airplane on what are called 'thinner' routes that need the distance of a Boeing 777 but carry fewer passengers.
