The CRJ-200ER is a small regional aircraft designed by Canadair and is now part of the Bombardier CRJ family of airplanes. The '200' indicates that it has upgraded engines over the '100' series while the 'ER' stands for 'Extended Range' meaning that the aircraft can fly farther. While the CRJ-200ER offers better airspeed and flight times over turbo-prop aircraft, some airlines are replaced them with newer, larger variants of the family like the CRJ-700 due their age and size; the CRJ-200ER is no longer in production.
