The MD-90 is the airplane family that succeeds the MD-80 family. It retains the 'T' shape tail and rear mounted engines but is increased in length allowing for more passengers to be carried. In typical layout, it can carry 155 passengers over 2085 nautical miles. With this the plane is ideal for busy short too medium routes.
