The Airbus A318-100 is a narrow-body aircraft that is part of the A320 family. Nicknamed the 'Baby-bus', this is the shortest aircraft in the A320 family and the shortest aircraft Airbus has ever manufactured. The A318-100 is no longer produced and was not redesigned with new engines with the rest of the A320 family as part of the A320neo product line. While popular in the early 2000's, the aircraft is being phased out for more fuel efficient airliners. This aircraft is ideal for short & medium haul routes with thin demand. It has also been converted into private/business jets as well. Like the A319, the A318 has an uncommon attribute of having a wingspan longer then it's length.
