The Boeing 747-400F is a wide-body, freighter aircraft that is part of the 747 Family. The 747-400F is a freighter conversion of the 747-400 and is equipped with the distinct front/nose cargo door that swings up allowing large cargo items to be loaded straight into the aircraft. The 747-400F is second to it's younger sibling the 747-8F in total cargo capacity and range but it is substantial improvement on it's older sibling the 747-200F. The 747-400F is no longer in production by the manufacturer but it can still be created through the conversion of a passenger 747-400. The 747-400F flies long range, high demand routes but it's popularity is declining for more fuel efficient, twin-engine, cargo freighters.
