Boeing 747-8

The Boeing 747-8 or 747-8I (Intercontinental) is the latest variant in the 747 family. It retains the similar features from all 747's however key differences include an extended upper deck (the largest of any variants) and raked wingtips in lieu of typical wingtips. The Boeing 747-8 (along with the freighter version) are the longest airliner in the world at 205'-2" or 76.3m. Despite the success of it's predecessors, the 747-8 was not nearly as popular and only a limited number of air-frames were ordered and built. This was mainly due to the aviation industry shifting away from using multi-engine airlines to fuel-efficient twin engine aircraft like the Boeing 777, 787, and Airbus A350 for improved fuel economics.
