McDonnell Douglas DC-7

The McDonnell Douglas DC-7 (formerly Douglas DC-7) was a 4-engine piston airliner designed and produced by the Douglas Aircraft Company. It had very good range & seating capacity at the time and was comparable to early jet aircraft but it since it was designed and constructed at the start of the jet age, it's success and the total number of aircraft that were ultimately built were limited. The aircraft is not in any meaningful service any more and have been relegated to either museums or scrapped for raw material.
