The Mitsubishi (formerly Bombardier) CRJ-900(ER/LR) is the fourth variant of the 'CRJ' family of regional aircraft. It features a fuselage extension from the CRJ-700, as well as upgraded engines over the CRJ-100/200. The base sub-variant is the 'ER' which stands for 'Extended Range' while the other sub-variant is 'LR' meaning 'Long/Longer Range' which offers even greater range allowing the aircraft to fly longer routes. The CRJ-900(ER/LR) is no longer produced and was the second-best CRJ variant in terms of orders after the CRJ-200.
