The ATR 42-500 is a variant of the ATR 42 turboprop aircraft and an improved variant of the ATR 42-300. Like the rest of the ATR family, the ATR 42-500 distinctly has two 6-blade propeller engines, fuselage mounted gears, and the distinctive 'T' shaped tail. The ATR 42-500 is no longer in production. This airplane is typically used on regional to small routes with low to medium passenger demand.
