Boeing 737-200

The Boeing 737-200 is variant of the 737 series and although being the second variation, it is essentially the first variant to become extremely popular with airlines and launch the 737 program to be one of the successful airplanes ever. The 737-200 is a narrow-body airliner having only one aisle. The -200 series was designed to be a low airplane when on the ground for quick turnarounds and was even equipped with its own set of stairs for airports that did not have jetways or even air-stairs. Due to the low profile, the engine & nacelles were designed to be elongated, 'tube' looking to allow for the proper ground clearances. The 737-200 is no longer in production but it is still  used as a freighter but some do still transport passengers typically in a 'combi' configuration where they carry a combination of cargo and passengers. These airplanes seldom fly commercial or common air routes and only see service in rough and rugged parts of the world like the Canadian arctic. For these regions there are special kits for both the engines and gears to protect them from gravel or unprepared runways.
